Amazon Prime Day is Tuesday, July 11th and goes through Wednesday, July 12th at midnight.
What Is The Big Deal About Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day is a bit like Amazon’s version of Black Friday where you’ll find lots of incredible discounts on items you probably already use or would like to have.
Do I Need An Amazon Prime Membership To Get The Deals?
Yes!
You have to be a Prime Member to get these deals but Amazon Prime offers a FREE 30-day trial so it’s a total win!
If you have a student heading off to college who has an .edu email address, they can sign up for Amazon Prime Student.
What Should I Buy On Amazon Prime Day?
- The normal stuff you buy. This is a great time to check on things you normally buy to see if they’re on sale. If you’re already an Amazon Prime member, navigate to the top of your Amazon page and click ‘Returns and Orders’. Then, under Your Orders, click ‘Buy Again’. Scroll through your past orders and it will say if any of those items are a Prime Day Deal. This is an easy way to find the things you normally purchase.
- Things you’ve been wanting. If you’ve had your eye on something, this is your opportunity to check and see if it’s offered at a steep discount. I often ‘save things for later’ in my Amazon account and check the price on Prime Day.
- Gifts for Birthdays, Christmas, or special occasions. It may seem a bit early to buy Christmas gifts but with a little thinking ahead, you can make your dollars stretch.

- Paper Cutter – This is the one my daughter bought for me years ago and I still use it!
- Bone Folder – When you print your own cards at home, a bone folder makes it easy to get a professional crease.
- Blue Yeti Microphone – This is the microphone I use with my computer for online calls or doing voice-overs for short videos. I’ve had it for quite a few years and it’s still going strong.

- BISSEL Little Green Multi-Purpose Portable Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner – I need one of these!
- Vintage Edison Light Bulbs – They are less expensive than the hardware stores. I just checked, yesterday.

- Hair Cutting Scissors – I learned to cut my husband’s hair during the pandemic and it became a regular money-saving thing to do!
- SimpliSafe Home Security System – We have this one and it’s a big money saver over other security systems.
- Kitchen Dish Cloths
- Kitchen Dish Cloths – I just ordered these. I like them because they are thin and easy to handle.
- Outdoor Hanging Chair Swing – We have one of these and it’s a fun chair to sit on!
- Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap – This is the best price I’ve seen on this hand soap.
- Drawer Storage Box Set – I have and use these! I like that they are 100% bamboo.
- TERRO Liquid Ant Killer – Does anyone else have those tiny little ants that pop up here and there throughout the year? We always keep a few of these on hand for those times and they work wonders.
