Spin To Win Christmas Bow Game Printables

If you’re looking for a fun and engaging Christmas Party Game, these Spin To Win Christmas Bow Game Printables will take your spinning bows game to the next level!

At our last Christmas party, we played this game and it was a lot of fun! The little kids and the big kids (adults) seemed to enjoy the game and the element of surprise as they lifted each cup! I usually try to have a few games to play at our Christmas parties. This year I chose the Guess How Many Christmas Party Game and the Who Is Most Like A Snowman Game. We also played this Shake Up The Conversation Christmas Game.

Christmas bows around the edge of a lazy Susan and on upside down cups.

How To Set Up The Game

  1. Attach colorful Christmas bows around the edge of a large lazy Susan and place the lazy Susan in the center of a table. Each bow corresponds to an upside down cup with a matching bow on top, containing a prize. (If youโ€™d rather not buy bows, Iโ€™ve included printable bows for you to use!)
  2. Adhere matching bows to the bottom of upside-down cups (I used red Solo Cups) and arrange them next to the lazy Susan on the left.
  3. Place a large arrow to the right of the lazy Susan, pointing toward a bow on the lazy Susan. (I painted a wooden arrow from the Dollar Tree, but you can use the printable arrow Iโ€™ve included here.)
  4. Gather festive prizes that would fit inside the cups like socks, money, gift cards, candy, or even a lump of coal for fun.
  5. Choose which prizes require participants to complete a challenge, and include a challenge card with those prizes (included in the printable game).
  6. Put the prizes under the cups.
  7. Let participants take turns spinning the lazy Susan to win prizes.
  8. After each turn, the player removes the corresponding bow from the lazy Susan and claims the matching cup.
  9. Decide beforehand if players lose a turn when landing on an empty space or if they can spin again until they land on a bow.

  • A large lazy Susan.
  • Christmas bows. Be sure you have two of each color. (If you don’t want to buy Christmas bows, I’ve included printable bows in the game printables below!)
  • An arrow so you know which bow color the lazy Susan lands on. (I’ve included a printable arrow in the game printable set below.)
  • Cups to put prizes inside and bows on the bottom. I used red Solo cups.
  • Festive prizes that will fit inside cups. (Ideas below.)

Prizes

For this game, you will need a lot of festive prizes that will fit inside the cups you use. The lazy Susan I purchased fit 15 bows around the edge so I came up with 15 prizes.

  • Festive Candy – I went to the Christmas section at my local store and picked up a boxed Hershey’s Kiss, a Reese’s tree, and a few other festive Christmas candies.
  • Festive Socks – I went to Bullseye’s Playground at Target and found festive elf and gingerbread man socks.
  • Lump Of Coal – This is for a little silly fun. You could also do one single regular size Hershey’s Kiss as kind of a dud prize!
  • Gift Cards – To Avoid Gift Card Scams, I like to buy gift cards directly from stores that keep them behind the counter. A few $10 gift cards would be great prizes for the cups along with a challenge card.
  • Money – A ten-dollar-bill with a challenge card is a good choice. You could do a larger amount if you think it’s appropriate. I also included a few prizes with just a few dollars inside.
  • Ornament
  • Small Toys – We had little kids at our party so I put Play-Doh under one of the cups. I also bought The World’s Smallest Violin as a prize. I had to bend the packaging a bit to get it inside the cup but it worked!

I would suggest perusing a nearby store to see what festive items you can find that would fit inside the cups you purchased.

Rules

The rules are simple! Decide ahead of time if players can ‘phone a friend’ (ask someone near them) for help on challenge cards.

  1. Take turns spinning the wheel.
  2. When the lazy Susan stops, note the bow color the arrow points to.
  3. Remove the bow and claim the cup with the matching bow on top.
  4. If the cup contains a challenge card, complete the challenge to keep your prize.
  5. Keep playing until all the bows and cups are claimed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! There’s something about spinning a wheel that makes you want to play this game. The little kids loved spinning the wheel and couldn’t wait to play and the adults got their spinning in, too!

If someone has already won the prize under the coordinating bow, the bow should be removed from the lazy Susan.

If someone spins and the lazy Susan stops where there is no bow, you can either lose a turn or let participants keep trying until they land on a bow. I think your decision will depend on who the participants are. If kids are playing, you might want to let them keep spinning but it’s up to you! When we played for the first time, we played it by ear and went with the flow of what worked best.
