When Is Teacher Appreciation Week?

Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week of every May, and Teacher Appreciation Day falls on the Tuesday of that week. While these printable cards would work perfectly for Teacher Appreciation Week, they are not specific to that week and can be used any time of the school year that you’d like to say thank you!

What Is Teacher Appreciation Week For?

Teacher Appreciation Week, or National Teacher Appreciation Week, is a week-long celebration in recognition of teachers and the contributions they make to education and society. It … provides an opportunity for students, their parents, and school principals to show their appreciation for the hard work teachers do and the long hours many of them put in.

What’s The Best Way To Show Appreciation?

In my opinion, the best way to show appreciation is through kind words. My husband was a middle school science teacher for many years before he became a Vice Principal and then Principal. While gift cards and treats are always appreciated, it’s the kind words that sustain him through tough days.

These coloring cards provide a way for students of any age to put a little creativity into a Thank You, and older students can write a message inside while parents can help younger students craft a message or write a message of their own thanks.

How To Use The Coloring Cards

  1. Print the notecard of your choice, found above, onย card stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

The coloring supplies you use will vary depending on the age of the student coloring the cards. My personal favorite coloring tools are Flair Felt Tip Pens or Colored Pencils. My 3-year-old nephew and 5-year-old niece like using them, too!

Yes! Teachers thrive on kind words and gestures given to them throughout the year.

Because I know how important it is to express and receive appreciation without affecting your family budget. And, if you plan on purchasing a gift, you can spend your hard-earned dollars on the gift instead of the card!
