How To Play
List 3 is a fun, fast-thinking party game for all ages! Use the Classic Version for easy gameplay or try the Gift Version to turn it into a festive prize game.
Classic Play
- Shuffle the cards and place them face down in a pile.
- Choose one player to read the first card out loud.
- Once the card is read, the player to the right of the card reader has 5 seconds (or a pre-determined amount of time) to list 3 answers that fit the prompt.
- If they succeed before time runs out, they keep the card. (Use a phone timer, or the guests can count down.)
- If they can’t list three in time, the card is returned to the bottom of the pile.
- Play continues to the right until all cards are taken or you decide to stop.
- The player with the most cards at the end wins!
Gift Version
- Provide a bag full of gifts with prompts attached to pass around the circle.
- Each guest pulls one gift from the bag when it’s their turn.
- Then, they read the List 3 prompt aloud.
- They have 5 seconds to list 3 answers that fit the prompt. (You may want to give extra time for young kids.)
- If they succeed, they keep the gift.
- If they don’t, they return the gift to the bag.
- Continue until all the gifts are won. (You may choose only to allow one gift to be won for each player.)
