Who Knows The Groom Best Game

My son and daughter are attending a joint bachelor and bachelorette weekend and asked if I could create a few trivia games for the event. At my son’s college graduation party, we played a Who Knows The Graduate Best Graduation Party Game that his friends had fun with, so they thought it would be fun to have a Who Knows The Bride Best Game and a Who Knows The Groom Best Game for the weekend.

The Who Knows The Groom Best Game is filled with questions about the groom, his favorites, a few things from his past, and his relationship with the bride. There’s also a This or That section and Has He Ever prompts to keep it interesting.

Why This Game Works

From our personal experience with the Who Knows The Graduate Best Game at my son’s college graduation party, these games are excellent at keeping the focus on the person the party was designed for! It’s a trivia game all about the groom that gives guests something to talk about.

The game is easy to set up and can be played just about anywhere. It’s a great way to learn something you might not have known about the groom and may even promote a little storytelling from him.

Where To Play This Game

Even though this game was created for a joint bachelor and bachelorette weekend, there are quite a few ways to use it.

  • Bachelor Party – Pass the game sheets out to guests, have them fill them out, and have a rousing discussion over the answers with the groom.
  • Couples Shower – Pair this game with the Who Knows The Bride Best Game and see who knows the bride or groom better.
  • Joint Bachelor And Bachelorette Party – Let guests decide if they complete the bride or groom version or if they want to try their hand at both for the opportunity to win a prize.
  • Wedding Weekend – If you’re spending a weekend celebrating, this game is perfect to have on hand along with a Guess How Many Wedding Game. You may also want to have this Printable Wedding Crossword Puzzle and Wedding Word Search on hand, too!
  • Engagement Party – It’s always good to have printable games on hand, especially for the people who would rather not spend the entire time socializing and need a reason to do something different. (I’m one of those people!)
  • Rehearsal Dinner – What a way to ignite a lot of laughter and fun by using these Who Knows Them Best Games while waiting for food.

What’s Included

  • Cover Page that could double as a sign.
  • Directions on how to set up the game.
  • Game Rules, which you could also frame, although I’d just choose either the cover page or the rules to frame. (I chose to frame the rules.)
  • Who Knows The Groom Best printable game page. Print as many as you need for your party.

How To Set Up The Game

  1. Download the Who Knows The Groom Best game.
  2. Print the game. Print as many copies as you need (1 per guest).
  3. Set the Game Rules out, along with the Game Sheets, and pens. You may choose to frame the rules and place the game in a spot where everyone will see it so they are tempted to participate. If you’re hosting a small gathering, you could just pass out the sheets and tell guests no cheating!
  4. Have the Groom fill out a game sheet and keep it in a spot where no one will see it.
  5. Read the Groom’s answers aloud, once everyone has completed their game sheet. Alternatively, have the Groom give his answers on the spot!
  6. Have party guests tally their answers.
  7. Award the winner a prize! The person with the highest score knows the Groom the best and wins a prize. (To keep the laughter rolling, you may also choose to award the person with the least right answers a prize!)

Game Rules

  1. Answer each question to the best of your knowledge.
  2. Circle the This or That that you think fits the Groom the best.
  3. Answer the Has He Ever questions.
  4. No Cheating! No asking the Groom or anyone else for help with the game. All of your answers should come from memory.
  5. The person with the most correct answers Knows The Groom Best and wins a prize!

Prize Ideas

A small gift card to a local favorite is always something guests will work for! Other ideas might be snacks, candy, coffee, or something the groom loves.

Take your guests into consideration and try to come up with a prize that any of them would actually want and use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not necessarily. But, having him fill out the answers ahead of time will give you an answer key that can’t be challenged by guests. You can also have the groom answer each question on the spot while guests check their answers.

Absolutely! If you are planning a couple shower, a joint bachelor and bachelorette party, or want to use the games at a rehearsal dinner, have guests fill out both game sheets and see whether they know the bride or groom better.

You could also put the bride and groom on the spot and use these newlywed game questions from The Knot to find out how well the bride and groom know each other, too!

This does and will happen. The simplest way to handle it is to ask a tiebreaker question. You could ask them to guess something with a number answer, like how many times he’s been on an airplane, how many cars he’s owned, or what year he graduated high school. Whoever comes closest is the final winner.
